I spoke too soon last week. It seems like the cold has come again! :( Over the weekend it's been in the 50s, making this weekly pick more approporiate. :)
For about a year now, I have been really into over-the-knee boots but haven't seemed to find the pair. In late winter, I have come to love the Stuart Weitzman Lowland boots. Similar to the Highland, SW recreated the suede-heeled boot to flats with the legging look and feel. It looks great with dark denim or a dress and it definitely could be used to top-off an ultra-high-street outfit. I do realize they are quite wintery but I feel like it can definitely be used as a transition statement and definitely a great investment for future winters. Woohoo! Spring is here! It's about time because January and February were wayyyyy to cold! Although, I'm gonna have to say it was quite nice to see snow for the first time! Spring Guide After going through all the SS15 fashion show pictures, I have narrowed down to the top 4 things all high-school/college girls should invest in. Personally for me, I really love the on-duty denim trend the most and can't wait to bring out all the dungarees I bought on sale last season.
Trust me, if you have all one of these trends, you will look fab in spring! Hope these helped! Sitara. xx Jeans. It's something everyone (or at least most) wears regularly. Denim is sooo versatile and you can find it in so many different styles -- washes, cut, distress, pockets. This year the "it" jeans are definitely flared jeans. I have to go through my closet and find them from like years ago... they probably won't even fit! :( My favorite jean, which you probably already know, is the Topshop Leigh jeans. They are unbelievably comfy and legging-like. Their soft fabric and mid rise shape make it flattering on everyone! Beyonce, Selena Gomez, Eleanor Calder have all been seen wearing them quite often. Below are many and many different colors, rips, and prints the Topshop Leigh jeans come in. As of right now, Topshop probably is my favorite jeans-maker. Not only are the Leigh jeans popular, they have other styles such as Joni, Jamie, Baxter, Boyfriend, Mom, Flares, and the list still continues. They have such a wide range of jeans, you'll definitely find your signature pair.
It's officially over and my gosh, has it been fun! Fashion Weeks bring the world of designers, models, photographers, singers, actors/actresses all in one place. Although, I'm at my laptop, I still feel like a part of all the action when scrolling through instagram. So much happened in PFW, from H&M Studio to Louis Vuitton to Chanel to Saint Laurent everything was perfectly perfect. Some of the biggest names walked in Paris Fashion Week including Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Joan Smalls, Karlie Kloss, and so many more. I almost forgot! Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson were pretty great models, too. ;) As you can see above, the trends in PFW were quite unique. It felt more like the 80s then the 70s (not that I'd know how they really were). Isabel Marant officially reinstated the ankle boots for AW15. Neck garments, neither a scarf or tie were prevalent. Unfortunately, one trend I was not a huge fan of though was Givenchy's excessive use of piercings... it was a very bold move by Riccardo Tisci, but it's just not for me. On the other hand, the bold colors creative director, Olivier Rousteing chose for Balmain were absolutely to die for. Beauty was really on point and Christian Dior's long, slick tied-back hair was definitely one of my favorites. PFW redefined street style. Check out some of my favorite looks below. As you can see, everything was amazing... after all, it was Paris, the home of the greatest Fashion Designers in the world.
It has been my pleasure reporting to you all about AW15. Signing off. Sitara. xx First was Style Crush Sunday, then it was Weekly Pick, and now it's InstaOutfit! I created InstaOutfit to show you all what I wear on a more day to day basis. I won't be updating this every day or even every week but you'll always find my latest pictures on instagram. Today's look is actually from an outfit I wore earlier this week. The sweater from Banana Republic is actually my mom's (if you are reading this, sorry I raided your closet!) and is soooo comfortable. Honestly, this was one of the first turtleneck's I actually like to wear because it looks so high street and isn't suffocating or old school. If it's even possible, the jeans are even more comfier than the sweater. Topshop Leigh jeans are super soft and legging-like and undoubtedly my favorite pair of jeans ever! The one I'm wearing here are the MOTO black coated jeans and are really model-like. Both the Zara boots and the Fossil watch, as you may already know, are investment pieces from my NYC trip and I love them soooo much! I wear them all the time and I think they compliment all outfits! Shop Look: And there you have it. The very first InstaOutfit! I have so many more mini projects for the blog and I'm unbelievably excited! Hope you enjoyed!
