It dawned on me after writing the last post, just how unaccepted wearing crop tops at a professional atmosphere is. The thing though is, I love them and although they are on the more daring side, a little classiness goes a long way. I chose a few pictures of celebrities* who I thought pulled off the look really really well. Taylor Swift not only rocks the crop tops, she pulls it together in a cute co-ord set with a high-waisted bottom makes the entire look modest. By wearing the co-ord, it also just elongates her silhoutte so it's completely a win-win situation.
Kendall Jenner is kind of who I channeled in my last InstaOutfit simply because she uses a high-waisted maxi skirt to maintain respect. In a professional environment, I think this is a great way to look trendy! Emma Stone's trousers steal the show a way in her look. The printer trousers draw the attention immediately and takes away from the fact, there is a little bit of midriff showing. All while doing it effortlessly, her look is great if going to a meeting and if you aren't super comfortable yet, throwing on a chic blazer would always do the trick, Vanessa Hudgens oozes a tough, super hot business woman. With her dark lips compimenting the neutral outfit, she justifies her crop top with a midi-maxi type of skirt and a throw on camer coat. And since she isn't that tall, her heels elevates her outfit as well as her presence. Now are you ready to try crop tops to work? HELL YEAH! Sitara xx

sunglasses - O by Oscar de la Renta shirt - Urban Outfitters skirt - Ann Taylor sandals - ASOS watch - Fossil This past two weeks have been so chaotic, juggling two different internships at the same time makes life so difficult. The most important thing for me is to not compromise on my style. I easily paired one of my favorite crop tops by pulling my maxi skirt a little higher for a more professional and office appropriate look. I pulled the look together with the cat-eyed black frames and blue ombre lenses Oscar de la Renta sunglasses to tie the blue skirt and black sandals together.
It's been a while since I've done a SCS and it seemed quite appropriate to feature the girl I owe all my love for fashion, Eleanor Calder. From the time I have been following Ms. Calder's style since 2011, I have seen it evolve from button-up blouses to leather pants to pumps ;) I started keeping up with what she wore on a daily basis when people started making style tumblr blogs and it has been so much fun (not to mention, I was so obsessive, I bought many of her exacts)!.
Eleanor Calder, 23, has been in the spotlight for almost 4 years now and she has made the most of it. With her friend seen in some of the pictures above, model and co-blogger, Maximilian Hurd, they created the blog, The Trend Pair. The Trend Pair, although is new, has captured some of SS15's best trends especially the whole 70's vibes -- lots of flared jeans, suede, platform sandals.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MS. CALDER! :) xx
~ Sitara, Fashion by Sitara Mysore After the VS Fashion show, Couture shows are my absolute fabulous. Never before were flowers my thing but, Versace blew my mind away and completely changed my view on garlands in the hair. From Lara Stone to Karlie Kloss, each look was hand-crafted and combined the 70's trend with flared sleeves and patent platform heels. The feminine colors were complimented by the dark brooding Versace black. The soft hair and nude face gave a sense of fairy tale galore. The familiar faces of Kendall Jenner and Doutzen Kroes in sheer added a kick of sexiness. What a wonderful show, Donatella!
