What can I say? October you were pretty amazing... From the concert on the first night of October to my all state audition (might I add, I did make it through to the next round) to Halloween which is just around the corner, it has definitely been a momentous month. A problem I always face around Halloween is what I assume all girls worry about, what do I wear? Dressing for halloween is almost twice as hard in my opinion because everyone is eyeing the costume. It was always super awkward for more when I would get all dressed up and ring my neighbors doorbell and they'd be like, "So who are you for halloween?" and in my sassy head I'm thinking, "You have got to be kidding me! I am in black and yellow striped dress with wings and a crazy head piece that are supposed to resembles antennas, what do you think I am, a turtle", but of course I take the friendlier path by laughing and saying, "I'm a nice bumblebee." Now that I am maturing or rather think I am maturing by not wearing the Princess Belle costumes, here are a few ways I would style an outfit for Halloween. The first outfit on the left obviously is a skeleton costume and I am actually really obsessed with it right now. The one in the middle is the Bunny Costume ft. lace. The last outfit is down right rebellious and all courtesy of Alexander Wang. Speaking of Alexander Wang, his modern/sporty collaboration, Alexander Wang x H&M, is coming out in stores November 6. To tie all 3 outfits together, I would definitely paint my nails matte black. ***************************

Sooooooo auditions are some pretty nerve-racking stuff... For the past couple of months I have been prepping for the Georgia All-State Orchestra and I can confidently say it was all worth it since I have passed the first round. I would like to say I was quite prepared for the audition so the night before, I only practiced for an hour and simply ran through my scales and my etude but that was not the real problem. The real problem was what was I possibly going to wear to an audition. If anyone of you have met me, you would definitely know that I dress for every occasion. After loads of outfit changes, I settled for an outfit similar to the one below. All the items above are similar to the ones I wore. My dress from Anthropologie which looked almost identical to that was a lighter and brighter shade of purple. My watch was from Target. Although my pumps were from Naturalizer like the one above, my heel was slightly shorter and it had a cute strap going through the middle. Another thing people seem to forget about when styling is their hair but it is quite a vital part of finished look. I washed my hair the night before and towel dried my hair since I am quite opposed to unnecessary heat. I then put a tiny blob of Moroccan Argon Oil and braided my hair into two pigtails (yes, I know it is childish but, it works miracles). In the morning all I did was take out the braids, pin my bangs to the side, put a little more oil for a shine and ta-da, it was finished and in all took less than 5 minutes. Just make sure not to hide your face and wear too much make-up. All in all, I believe auditions should be a statement and the way you present yourself is something that people do consider when judging you especially when they can see you and although I have not been to a job interview before, I would imagine it is similar if not the same. At my audition, I saw people from jeans and a hoodie all the way to suits so there was definitely two extremes but I would aim for something right in the middle. Below are a few other ways I would style an outfit for any professional setting: Thank you so much for all your support! In 3 days, it will have been 6 months since I started my blog and I did not expect it to be as successful it is today and I hope for more amazing things to happen in the future. Lots of love.
Signing off, Sitara Xx 5 Days have passed since October has started and I would have to say it has been the month this entire year and I owe it all to One Direction. On October 1, I had the amazing opportunity of seeing the boys of 5 Seconds of Summer and One Direction with my naked eye (and the help of my glasses). This tops my list of all the concerts I have ever been to; Honestly, I do not know if even another One Direction concert could beat this one seeing as Harry blew me a kiss and I caught it! #StoryOfMyLife <3 To the concert, I wore head to leg Topshop. I wore a white peplum top, leather jacket, and the black coated 'leigh' jeans. Obviously my toes were my oh-so lovely, classic "concert heels" from Kenneth Cole Reaction which I wore to my first One Direction concert on their Up All Night Tour over 2 years ago. Whoops! I almost forgot my BCBGMaxazria Sunglasses but I guess that does not really count since I practically wear it everywhere. It was such a memorable concert and I cannot wait to the next tour! Meet and Greet VIP Passes, I am coming for you. :) In honor of today being One Direction's last concert in the Where We Are Tour, I thought it was appropriate to appreciate One Direction's sexy sense of style. From the days of the matching color scheme outfits to the hair transformation. Let's take a trip down memory lane below. These 5 boys are a massive part of my life and inspire me everyday. From being simply the boys next door, they have grown as friends and conquered the world and it is an honor to be a part of their journey as well. Thank You Harry, Liam, Louis, Niall, and Zayn for the best teenage years I could have possibly asked for! Now go show your support by pre-ordering One Direction's New Album, Four here. October Wishlist I could not end this blog post without mentioning anything I liked so above is my October Wishlist. This practically sums up all my favorites I have been eyeing at this past couple of months. A Must in everyone's closet.
