Hiylo (Hi + Hey +Hello) Lasses! The Winter has come. And along with that, the cold has taken over. Being from Florida, my toleration for cold is soooo lacking but whatever, snow is snow and I cannot wait for it! Figuratively praying for a Snowpocalypse in Atlanta this year... :D Every season, I like to clean out my closet from all the old clothes and bring in the new clothes that are much more appropriate for the weather. This year, I took a trip to the North Georgia Premium Outlets and got loads of jumpers from Loft. I also ordered from Mango a really comfy puffer jacket and leather gloves for my New York trip (Aghhhh!!!). Although I have several different black boots, I am so in love with the Acne Jensen boots which you can get a really similar one in Zara for one-fifth of the price. Hopefully this guide will give you all some sort of direction when winter shopping. I know shopping can be super hectic when you know you need something but have no clue what you really want. I can assure you, just having one of each elevates your winter wardrobe. If you are anything like me, neutral colors include white, beige, gray, and black are your forte and winter is the perfect time to wear these colors without others thinking you are too drab.
Now it's time to save up for these super expensive, super cute clothes. :P Happy holidays and I wish you all a very merry Christmas! Sitara Xx Finals are done and it is officially Winter! The year is wrapping up to be super awesome and I am so excited for the next year! Anyways, after loads of ideas, I decided that one of the most important things for the new year is to have a great skincare routine. Speaking from experience, wearing great clothes makes you feel good but actually taking care of your health makes you feel 100 times better! Beauty products are something I would never recommend to cheat yourself with. There are reasons somethings are just more expensive than just the label. Just recently for my chemistry class, I did my literature review on the chemical composition of cosmetics and I learned so much. There are so many things to beware of when applying make-up because it comes with direct contact with your skin. On a daily basis, I wash my face with this really natural, Himalaya Herbals face scrub for exfoliation. If it is just to school, I just put the Olay cream and L'Oreal Powder with Vaseline. It definitely is much less than an average high schooler uses but I think it is more than enough. Caking make up on yourself is more harmful than helpful... My nightly routine is really basic. I sleep really late and wake up really late so I like to take my showers in the night. Before I go to sleep, I smear Cetaphil all over myself so in the morning, I have really super soft skin and I spray my "casual spritz" so I smell really good too. When I wake up, I just put some more Aveeno to re-moisturize my skin. My go to thing to splurge on is perfume! Every season I like to try a new scent, this season it is the Burberry Body (courtesy of my little brother) and it smells divine... The Marc Jacobs Lola is also a great scent all your long so it is always out on my counter. If I am going out partying, I definitely spray a little of my Victoria Secret Supermodel. It's kind of old and I am pretty positive they do not even sell it anymore but it just makes you feel so sexy, plus it leaves sparkles on your skin. :) The Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue is probably the best Spring/Summer scent ever. Like the name says, it is super light and extremely refreshing. Hair. Hair. Hair. The one thing I do like to mess around with is my hair. I like changing texture, style, and parting depending on my mood. For example today, I headed out to Lifetime Fitness and used the Tresemme waterless, foam shampoo to get rid of any excess oil. Recently, I have tried to cut down the use of heat by not straightening my hair (I use the Herstyler Titanium) and rather opt for washing my hair couple of hours before I sleep and when it is damp, braid it into two. After sleeping on it, when I take it out, it looks like I spend hours on it but it was only just couple of minutes. :) Of all the hair products in the pile above, the Moroccan Argan Oil by Organix is the best thing ever. It makes my hair shiny and soft. There are so many different products I want to try every time I got to shops like Sephora and all but sometimes there are so many things that you like and you cannot possibly use them all... they kind of just sit there on the counter staring at you.
Now it is just time to prep for our family vacation to NEW YORK FRICKIN' CITY! :)))) Aghhhhh :DD Lots of Love, Sitara Mysore I cannot believe it is already December! This crazy year has gone by way to fast and I'm honestly just counting down the days until I board a plane to New York! (18 DAYS!!) Although I do not celebrate Christmas, I love the holiday spirit and the sales are just an additional bonus. This holiday season I am looking forward on stocking up on Jumpers! Here are a few things that bring me to holiday spirit: Lust List ft. Zara On that note, Zara has been my fashion inspo for a while and I have found soooooo many great things here. This AW14 season in on point and I absolutely am in awe with their collection. I haven't got my hands on anything yet but when I do go to NYC later this year, I am definitely going to get one of those shoes. Those glittery boots have been my obsession since Harry Styles (who has one hell of a style) wore the sparkly Saint Laurent boots for One Direction's SNL skit in 2013. At the AMA Awards, Mr. Styles also wore cheetah boots and he always seems to be wearing tan boots with a slight heel and it is so fine. Either way, the party this year is at Zara and I plan on being on the VIP list.
December. Love, Sitara |
