I started this year in the heart of Times Square and it's coming to an end in my bedroom in Atlanta and the only thing I ask myself is: Is it really the last day of the year?
So much has happened in the past year that I have been thankful for, lots of traveling, lots of time with family and friends, and lots of progress in my blog. I had the opportunity to start the year in NYC, visit Chicago, Orlando, Tallahassee, Asheville and end the year right at home. I can confidently say that I have adjusted to my move to Atlanta and have a great group of friends that I've done some crazy things with ;) And now my blog. My blog has achieved things I never thought would happen, one of the best being featured on the cosmopolitan.com #DareToBe campaign. I had the amazing opportunity to be an intern at TrendBrew and an apprentice at Atlanta International Fashion Week over the summer and learned from some of the kindest people in the industry. And from here, all I can see is moving forward in the business and establishing a name for myself. Just like last year, I put together some of my most worn shoes, iconic dresses (I wore the one on the right for my last birthday as a child :) ), and just some basic stuff that got me through the year.
Cheers! xx

This year has been all about Kendall Jenner in the fashion world. From show to show, Kendall has been there for them all. She had the great honor of walking in the VS Fashion Show with model and best friend, Gigi Hadid and even became the face of Estee Lauder. For me though, her street style looks steal the show. She can dress things up or dress things down impeccably and has mastered the minimalist trend to perfection.
Shop Her Looks:Blogging on food is not really my thing, hence my name Fashion by Sitara Mysore but the food on my Asheville trip was exceptional and Chorizo Latin Fare tops the chart. All the food here especially the chicken fajitas ;) was delicious. The vibrant atmosphere and the great service together made the restaurant family-friendly. Located in the Grove Arcade in the heart of Asheville, it is the perfect place to eat!
I have always been a big city type of girl, but visiting Asheville and the Biltmore Estates has always been a priority. The cute, tumblresque vibe downtown Asheville with its cobblestone roads, local shops and restaurants, it's definitely a place I'd recommend to visit. Visiting the Biltmore House was obviously a main reason for driving up here and it's completely out of this world. With such high expectations of the Biltmore Estates, it was a total shocker when I saw how old the place actually was. The French chateau reminded me of the Downton Abbey property. The biggest thing I learned today was that I'd never be able to survive in a house like that and a town like Asheville. NYC is it for me. :)

It's the most wonderful time of the year! And of course with all the holidays around the corner, holiday shopping becomes a priority and finding the perfect, meaningful gift is incredibly difficult. For the rest of you slackers like me that hasn't even started shopping, here are some classic pieces for both his and hers that I absolutely love!
Future/potential boyfriend/husband, yes, you must wear all the "ridiculous" silk bombers and "fancy shmancy" stuff I buy you out of the deepest art of my heart. ;) |
